ABSTRACT

Resumo Objetivo analisar a lotação e distribuição da primeira turma de oficiais enfermeiros, ao término do Curso de Formação de Oficiais, com a patente de 2º Tenente, no Hospital Central da Polícia Militar do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, em 1995. Método estudo histórico em fontes documentais escritas e orais produzidas por meio de 19 entrevistas, sendo 18 oficiais enfermeiros e um civil. Os conceitos de poder simbólico e capital de Pierre Bourdieu consubstanciaram a análise dos achados. Resultados a classificação obtida no curso de formação de oficiais e a experiência profissional, embora com menor peso, foram preponderantes na distribuição nos setores do hospital. Considerações finais e implicações para prática os critérios de antiguidade da vida militar influenciaram na configuração da equipe de enfermagem no hospital militar. Destaca-se que a ocupação das chefias pelos oficiais enfermeiros foi determinada pelo capital incorporado no estágio probatório, o qual foi institucionalizado pela patente.


Resumen Objetivo analizar la capacidad y la distribución de la primera clase de oficiales enfermeros al término del Curso de Formación de Oficiales, con el grado de 2º Teniente, en el Hospital Central da Polícia Militar do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, en 1995. Método estudio histórico en fuentes de documentos escritos y orales producidos a través de 19 entrevistas, 18 de las cuales fueron enfermeras y una civil. Los conceptos de poder simbólico y capital de Pierre Bourdieu fundamentaron el análisis de los hallazgos. Resultados la clasificación obtenida en el curso de formación para oficiales y la experiencia profesional predominaron en la distribución en los sectores hospitalarios, aunque con menor peso. Conclusión e implicaciones para práctica los criterios de antigüedad en la vida militar influyeron en la configuración del equipo de enfermería. Se destaca que la ocupación de los comandos por oficiales enfermeros fue determinada por el capital incorporado en la etapa probatoria, institucionalizada por el grado.


Abstract Objective to analyze the capacity and distribution of the first class of nurse officers, at the end of the Officer Training Course, with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, at the Hospital Central da Polícia Militar of the State of Rio de Janeiro, in 1995. Method historical study in written and oral documentary sources produced through 19 interviews, of which 18 are nurse officers and one civilian. Pierre Bourdieu's concepts of symbolic power and capital substantiated the analysis of the findings. Results the classification obtained in the training course for officers and professional experience, although with less weight, were preponderant for the distribution in the hospital sectors. Final considerations and implications for practice the criteria of seniority in military life influenced the configuration of the nursing team at the military hospital. It is noteworthy that the occupation of the heads by the nurse officers was determined by the capital incorporated in the probationary period, which was institutionalized by the patent.

ABSTRACT

RESUMEN Hacia fines del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX se inició la modernización, burocratización y profesionalización del Ejército Argentino. Como resultado de ese proceso se conformaron las divisiones del Ejército, esto es, organizaciones militares autónomas entre sí, compuestas por unidades de diferentes armas, elementos de apoyo de combate y de servicios. Entre estos últimos estaba el de sanidad militar, que actuaba en las unidades operativas de los distritos militares para el reconocimiento de los ciudadanos para el Servicio Militar Obligatorio y en los hospitales militares. Este artículo tiene por objetivos: 1) caracterizar ese proceso en sus relaciones con las concepciones de la defensa, organización, funciones y despliegue territorial del Ejército; 2) analizar, en ese marco, la conformación del servicio de sanidad militar entre 1888, con la sanción de la Ley Orgánica del Cuerpo de Sanidad del Ejército y la Armada, y 1938, con los cambios en el diseño orgánico del Ejército en vísperas de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.


ABSTRACT At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, a process of modernization, bureaucratization and professionalization of the Argentine Army was initiated. As a result of this process, Army divisions were formed, which are autonomous military organizations composed of units of various weapons, combat support elements and services. Included among the latter was the military health service, which acted both in the operational units of the military districts in order to incorporate citizens into the Compulsory Military Service as well as in military hospitals. This article aims to: 1) characterize this process in relation to the concepts of defense, organization, functions and territorial deployment of the Army; 2) analyze, within that framework, the formation of the military health service between 1888 -when the Organic Law of the Sanitary Corp of the Army and the Navy was sanctioned - and 1938 - when the Army's organic design was changed on the eve of the Second World War.

ABSTRACT

The quality of work life is about the development oF organizational programs that support the of employees' welfare and commitment to their organizations. The study aim was to explore the relation between quality of work life and organizational commitment among those nurses working at a military hospital. Using a descriptive- correlational design on 140 nurses working in various units. Data were collected through two self-administered questionnaire sheets, which include the Quality of work life questionnaire, and the Organizational Commitment questionnaire. Pilot testing showed a high reliability of the tools. The results showed that only 20.7% of nurses had high QWL, while 90% of them had high total commitment to their job. A moderate statistically significant positive correlation was detected between nurses' scores of organizational commitment and QWL [r=0.47, p=0.01]. Multivariate analysis showed that the score of QWL and nurse's age were the statistically significant positive independent predictors of the commitment score. It was concluded that nurses in the military hospital have high levels of organizational commitment, but their QWL is quite low. The scores of QWL and organizational commitment are closely correlated. Nurses' age and QWL score can predict positively the score of organizational commitment. It was recommended to improve the QWL of nurses in the study setting through on-service training programs for nurse leaders in leadership and management, continuing education sessions for nurses, and reviewing the system of incentives. Further study is suggested to compare the QWL and organizational commitment between military and civilian hospitals

ABSTRACT

First-level nurse managers are important front-level administrators in the hospital. They are positioned in close proximity to .the work itself and to the nursing staff engaged in patient care. They should be able to improve service quality management to ever- changing situations. To measure transformational and transactional leadership behaviors' adoption and its relation to nursing services quality management as perceived by first- level nurse managers in a military. Descriptive Co- relational design.was used in carrying out this study. The study was conducted in a Military hospital. The study subjects were [no.50] who accepted to participate in the study and met the inclusion criteria. Tools: Data of the present study was collected through utilizing two questionnaires. First questionnaire was modified Multifactor Leadership Form 5X which contain [50 items]. Second questionnaire was modified service quality management [65 items]. The finding indicated that a first level nurse managers who adopting transformational or transactional leadership behavior was practiced in moderate level. Moreover, first level nurse managers had moderate level of activities related to nursing service quality management. Also, transformational and transactional leadership was positively related to service quality management of first-level nurse managers' .Furthermore, leadership behaviors, service quality management were related to first level nurse managers' age, years of experience, educational. leadership behaviors should be sharpened by continuous training with updated date knowledge. And this type of study should be replicated to allow for future comparisons of leadership behaviors of nurses managers levels and service quality management between hospitals in Military sector

ABSTRACT

Se realiza un trabajo encaminado a diagnosticar y mejorar los procesos de la asistencia médica hospitalaria, en el mismo se tomaron herramientas clásicas de calidad, con resultados demostrados como altamente satisfactorios en los modelos industriales de calidad. La adaptación de estos procedimientos a la asistencia médica han sido utilizados últimamente con beneficios importantes, por lo que se decidió su inclusión en los métodos de elevación de la calidad asistencial en el hospital de referencia. El impacto social producido por la mejora de la calidad en la atención en los procesos de prevención y restauración de la salud, quedó evidenciado en el logro de indicadores de calidad medidos y su estabilización en el tiempo, demostrando así la experiencia obtenida en la efectividad del procedimiento utilizado.


We developed a work aimed to evaluating and improving the processes of the hospital medical care, using classical quality tools, with highly satisfactory results in industrial quality models. The adaptation of these procedures to medical care has been used lately with important benefices, and we decided to introduce them in the methods for increasing the quality of the medical care in the reference hospital. The social impact resulted from increasing the quality of the medical care in the processes of health prevention and restoration, was evidenced in the achievement of measured quality indicators and their stabilization at the time, showing that way the experience obtained in the effectiveness of the used procedure.

Por medio del banco de sangre se lleva a cabo la medicina transfusional, éste asegura un suministro adecuado de componentes sanguíneos al hospital, se revisan en forma general aspectos sobre su registro y función así como las actividades principales de su personal. ABSTRACT

Se presenta la planificación de un Hospital Militar para enfrentar a una situación de catástrofes con atención de gran número de víctimas. Este Plan se divide en: 1) Comité de Planificación de Atención Hospitalaria, 2) Médico Jefe de Operaciones, 3) Política y Doctrinas, 4) Planificación de Atención Hospitalaria en Catástrofes. El Comité de Planificación es un asesor de las autoridades del Hospital con tareas específicas de organización, control y evaluación. El Médico Jefe de Operaciones debe cumplir varios requisitos y sus funciones más importantes las constituyen la decisión de poner en marcha la fase operativa, el ejercicio del mando del personal médico y paramédico y, el disponer los cambios de la organización del Plan según situaciones. El Plan de Atención hospitalaria en catástrofes debe estar escrito en forma clara y precisa y se puede subdividir para su comprensión en varios capítulos
